Director of Discipleship Counseling
Karen received a B.A. in business administration University of Iowa, and later received her first masters, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from University of Northwestern–St. Paul. She is currently working towards finishing her second masters; a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Faith Bible Seminary in Lafayette, IN. Karen is a ACBC certified biblical counselor.
Karen was born and raised in Oswego, Il., a small town (at the time) outside of Chicago. Her husband, Jim, grew up in Colorado Springs, Co., and they met in Atlanta, Georgia when they worked for the same company. Karen attended church while she was growing up but never heard the Gospel or had a saving faith. It wasn't until the age of 40 that the Lord, in His mercy and grace granted repentance and faith and she was born again. Until that time she falsely believed she was a good person going to heaven. Karen and Jim were married twenty years ago and have three children; Ryan, Dillon, and Rachelle along with a four-legged blessing, Napa, a yellow lab.
Karen loves studying God's Word and helping others grow and change biblically; all for God's glory. She loves golfing, running, slalom water-skiing, eating sushi and frozen yogurt (but not together), reading the Puritans, playing with their yellow lab, corporate worship and living life with her brothers and sisters in Christ.
